In circulation are a variety of documents that make reference to the nature of the site, its ecology and activities related to the site.


View Site Leaflet

In 2008 Broxtowe Borough Council published a new site leaflet supported with financial aid from WREN. It contains some details of the site and its industrial history, a site map and two described circular walking routes. Hardcopy of the leaflet is available from Broxtowe and parish councils, county libraries, Durban House and the Friends of Colliers Wood; or download from here.

Broxtowe publish an annual Borough of Broxtowe Guided Walks leaflet. This includes the Walk and Talk events that are centred on Colliers Wood. Hardcopy of the leaflet is available from the council, Durban House, Kimberley Leisure Centre and libraries. Alternatively download from here the full calendar with all walk details, or the quick reference diary listing walk dates.

Greasley Parish Council organise a program of parish footpath walks that include Colliers Wood in some itineraries. These are included in the Guided Walks leaflet.

The Friends are preparing a booklet showing the details of the trees to be found at site.

Programs of activities are periodically issued in the form of flyers.

All discussion documents related to site maintenance policies and active habitat programs are available via email in pdf format, on request.

Urban gardens present a major opportunity for extending the habitats available to a wide range of wildlife. A good guide to the potential your own garden has for supporting wildlife is ” Attracting Wildlife into your Garden“. A leaflet published by the Nottinghamshire Wildlife Trust with the support of Broxtowe Borough Council. Contact either organisation for a free copy.
